The following information covers the terms and conditions under which BCWA provides the online courses and resources available through this site to you.
BCWA courses and resources are designed to assist our member churches and leaders in providing safe, healthy and strong churches that serve their local communities. The majority of our courses and resources are online based and consist of video-based learning and downloadable resources, while some may include participation in an online or face to face workshop.
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully, as they apply to all of our courses and resources made available through this site. They include any description included for any course or resource found on our website, but where any inconsistency exists, the terms in these terms and conditions are considered to apply.
By completing your purchase (whether paid or unpaid) of any course or resource, you are confirming your agreement with these terms and conditions.
Definitions
Agreement means the agreement created by these Terms and Conditions and commence on completion of the purchase process.
Course means any online course produced by BCWA and accessed via the Website, as updated from time to time.
Customer means the person entering this Agreement by completing a purchase on this Website. The Customer may be referred to as ‘you’ throughout these Terms and Conditions.
Intellectual Property Rights means patents, trademarks, trade names, design rights, copyright, confidential information, rights in know-how and other intellectual property rights, in each case whether registered or unregistered and including applications for the grant of any of the foregoing and all rights or forms of protection having equivalent or similar effect to any of the foregoing which shall subsist anywhere in the world.
We refers to the legal entity referred to as BCWA.
Website means the website located at learning.baptistswa.asn.au, or any other URL that we choose to make courses or resources available.
Payment
The Customer agrees to pay the price for any course or resource listed on our Website to purchase access to these materials. You may pay for your order via any method of payment made available on our Website from time to time.
Use of a Church Coupon Code to allow an invoice to be sent to your church for payment is considered your confirmation that you have been given permission to use said code by a church leader who has the authority to approve its use. If the church represented by that code denies providing you access to this payment method, your confirmation of purchase is considered your commitment to cover the costs of the course.
Refunds
Refunds will only be granted according to our obligations under Australian Consumer Law.
Risk
Once the Customer has received confirmation of their registration on the Website, risk related to the course and login detail is held by the Customer. Please ensure your login details are stored securely.
Australian Consumer Law
Australian Consumer Law Our Course is covered by the Australian Consumer Law, which forms Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (ACL) and which provides for consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes any right, guarantee or warranty you’re entitled to by law, however we do exclude all other guarantees, conditions and warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law. We also specifically exclude liability for negligence.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
We make the Course available to you, however you use the Course at your own risk. Everything in the Course is provided “as is” and “as available” – we don’t make any representations or warranties of any kind.
