Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Day is a global day of action dedicated to raising awareness of online safety.

While churches necessarily focus a lot on making sure our physical environments are safe, part of our duty of care is to ensure that our online spaces are safe also for those in our community who engage in this way. Safer Internet Day is a day implemented world wide to bring attention to the various dangers to vulnerable people online.

By promoting access to resources and information that can help keep people safer online, we can create online environments where people can explore their faith in safety and security. We encourage you to check out the online resource available in this space from esafety.gov.au. Safer Internet Day will be held on 25 February in 2025 but we can do something every day to make these spaces a bit safer for our community.

Check out the Safer Internet Day Hub for more information and resources.
